Absent Blogger!!!
Wow! I have been very out of touch! But I have a very good excuse: I am now Michael Flaherty, MFA. That's right, I finally finished my thesis project last month, and now I will have the time to dedicate to smoothing out the details of the Bicycle Rehabilitation Project.
Don't get me wrong, it's not that nothing has happened in the past 3 months. I have now secured a show atUnion Gallery in Kingston. That gallery is at Queen's U, which I'm hoping will get lots of bike-riding students out to participate. You can meet me there for a tune up August 7-10. I have also been in negotiations with galleries in Seattle and St. John's recently, but I'm reluctant to post anything final about those yet, since venues and schedules are becoming very complicated at this point.

Update
It has been a while since I've posted an update, mostly because I'm insanely busy gearing up for my thesis exhibition. I've just figured out the exact dates for that show. If you happen to be in Saskatchewan you can catch it at the MacKenzie Art Gallery in Regina from December 6-16. The opening reception is from 6-9pm on Friday December 8.
As for the Bicycle Rehabilitation Project, I am still looking for galleries on both the east and west coasts, and have tons of applications out there floating around in the world. The good news is that I've just confirmed an exhibition for Minneapolis in July at an artist-run-gallery calledArt of This . I'm very happy to be going there. So that means I have pegged down the middle part of the tour and just need to find a show on either end.
One more thing: check out the website for my friendPeter McCarron . He just passed through town on his own art adventure, a cross Canada motorcycle tour (in November, nonetheless!)

The first bit of news that I have is about some newly confirmed exhibitions. The Bicycle Rehabilitation Project will take place at Harcourt House in Edmonton from June 21 to June 28, 2007, and at Articule in Montreal sometime in mid to late August 2007.
I will post more details as soon as I confirm them, but you can always gohere for a detailed itinerary.

Welcome to the Bicycle Rehabilitation Project website!
Hi everyone. Congratulations on finding the blog for the Bicycle Rehabilitation Project ! I've never had a blog before, so this is all new to me. If you check back from time to time you may notice that the format will change a bit as I try to integrate the blog into my site a little better.
Basically this blog is to chronicle theBicycle Rehabilitation Project . I'll be putting all the news, dates, stories and events on here, so you'll have to check often to see what's going on.
Until next time, happy riding!
